Information About Appointments

Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology provides onsite pathology services between 8.30am and 11.30am from Monday to Friday. Outside of these hours, our highly trained clinical staff can assist you with your pathology needs.

Your doctor will advise you as to when they expect your results to arrive at the practice. If the doctor needs to see you to discuss your results, you will receive a text message from us Via medi2apps services. If there are no abnormalities with your test results, you will not receive notification from the practice. If you wish to follow up about your results, please call the practice and our reception staff will be able to advise if you any further action is required for your results.

Our practice is committed to preventative care. Your doctor will seek your permission to be included in our reminder system. We may issue you with a reminder notice from time to time offering you preventative health services appropriate to your care. If you do not wish to be part of this system, please let your doctor or the reception team know. The Federal Government also provides an independent reminder system for certain conditions. Our practice will only provide them with your health information with your permission.

We also provide an annual health care assessment with nurse and doctor which is bulk billed.

Repeat prescriptions are written only at the doctor’s discretion. We kindly ask that our patients ensure prescriptions do not run out. Repeat prescriptions are unable to be written if you have not attended the practice within the last 3 months. If you are eligible you may be offered a telehealth appointment with your regular doctor otherwise it may be requested for you to come into the clinic and see a doctor. If there are extenuating circumstances as to why you are unable to attend the practice to get a new prescription, a fee of $20 will apply and will need to be paid on the collection of your prescription. Please note, antibiotics and authority prescriptions cannot be prescribed without consulting a doctor.

Managing Appointments

If you have a medical concern or require general advice, we recommend booking an appointment. Consultations are available five days a week at the following times:

  • Monday to Friday 8.00 am – 5.00 pm
  • Saturday CLOSED
  • Sunday CLOSED

Routine appointments are available with the doctors during the above times, and we also offer individual consultations with our practice nurses when suitable. Routine appointments are for 10 to 15 minutes. If you have more than one problem and will need more time, please ask for a longer consultation when booking. Extended appointments may incur an additional charge.

If you no longer need or cannot get to an appointment, please phone the surgery to cancel the appointment so that the time can be offered to another patient. We reserve the right to charge a fee for any appointment that is not cancelled.

Urgent appointments will always be given on the same day for urgent medical conditions, but it may not always be possible for you to see your normal doctor.

Fees and Charges

Absolute Health & Skin Clinic is a private billing practice. We do not provide accounts and all fees must be settled at the time of consultation. Fees are payable by cash, cheque, bank card, MasterCard or Visa.

Our billing policy is displayed in the reception area of the surgery. If you have any difficulty in paying our fees, please discuss it with us. We do provide a bulk billing service for over 65 Aged Pension and DVA card holders who are regular patients at our surgery.

Health Care Card (Yellow, Centrelink issued card) holders are not bulk billed. However, we do offer a reduced fee.
